The central government institution in charge of Transport, infrastructure and Energy policy is the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy.(MIE)
Mission of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy of Albania is: drafting and implementation of the general state policy and programs in the field of transport (road , air, rail, maritime transport), in the sector of urban planning and development, in the sector of telecommunications and In the sector of energy.
In the field of transport MIE, the government policy and priority are in Coherence with EU policies and strategies and with the recommendations of Berlin Process and Connectivity Agenda for West Balkan Countries.
