Focusing on the Balkan-Med region and considering the specific challenges it presents, SCOPE project aims to introduce a novel, transnational and market-driven freight exchange platform that will provide innovative and integrated road freight value-adding transport services, addressing existing inefficiencies and externalities for enhancing the performance and sustainability of the region’s road freight transport system.

The SCOPE platform is expected to provide significant benefits to its users, enhancing their territorial competitiveness and sustainability which, in turn, will contribute towards a more efficient business environment. SCOPE will follow an integrated, structured and inclusive approach, engaging several industry stakeholders from Greece, Bulgaria and Albania throughout the development process of the platform as well as during its evaluation and pilot-testing.

The SCOPE approach ensures the early establishment of transnational collaborations, creating business friendly conditions for the platform’s start-up and easy access to the market. Such an approach makes sure that the project’s final product fully fulfils important market needs, facilitating its fast and wide uptake by relevant industry stakeholders in the Balkan-Med region.
