SCOPE Final Event & Simulator Event 20th June 2022

Dear SCOPE partners,

The SCOPE project’s final event & simulator event is underway and we are happy to invite all of you and key national freight stakeholders to introduce our work & outcomes. The event will take place in hybrid format (live & virtual) and will be held in the Aristotle University Research Dissemination Center (KEDEA) on 20th June 11:00-14:30 EET (Local time).

The workshop will focus on presenting the key outcomes & results of the SCOPE project, the SCOPE platform developed, plus a live demonstration of the Eco-Driver simulator developed by our project partner, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) – Transport Engineering Laboratory. The programme has been attached and will be available in SCOPE website also soon, although registration is required (until 15th June).

This webinar will introduce the concepts behind Land Use modelling, relationship between land Use and transportation systems and an overview of CUBE Land. CUBE Access provides the tools and data to analyze accessibility and identify gaps in livability to inform planners and leaders on how to address those gaps. Attendees will learn what analysis can be undertaken using CUBE Access to answer these questions and will be shown how to conduct some of the more common tasks such as:

  • How to map the number of jobs accessible by any transport mode in a region
  • Mapping the walkability scores of an area
  • Calculate travel time to certain type of location (hospital) by transit
  • Compare accessibility to healthcare before and after new transit line
